Our last sleepover happened a really long time ago, so I’m glad we were able to insert one before everybody gets busy during summer (WHY?!). Although a lot of things didn’t go as planned (UP, everyone sleeping over, swimming), I’m still thankful that it pushed through.
I especially liked what Ate Lysha shared to us that night about realizing a woman’s role as an ezer kenegdo, a title that we exclusively share with God. It’s an honor to know that, like Deborah in Judges, we also have the strength and valor to pursue our dreams and serve God with the gifts that He has given us. We are not mere sidekicks, but frontliners in the overall plan God has for our generation. That just excites me so much! I can’t wait to know how He will use me here, now 🙂
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
